In a sense, we began our adoption journey over 100 years ago! Adoption has been a normal part of both sides of
our families for many generations. Both of us are adopted.
We began our adoption journey together in 1997, when we got married. In 2004 we adopted our wonderful son, who
is now 2 1/2. He was a special needs domestic child.
We want to adopt another special needs domestic child, as well as adopt an orphan from overseas. In order to accomplish
this international adoption, we are fundraising for some of the funds that we haven't been able to save, borrow, get a loan,
or get a grant for.
Why we are adopting...
We feel that there are so many children out there growing up in orphanages, foster homes, on the street - that need parents.
And we can be those parents! We have chosen to adopt special needs children as they are the hardest to place for adoption.
